The rules

How you win.

Ten weeks. Points every week from results, goals and bonuses. Top your league and you are on the plane.

Scoring

Every match pays.

Even a loss scores. Turning up is worth points, which is why an abandoned squad still climbs slowly and a coached one climbs fast.

Points awarded for each result and bonus
Result Points Why it matters
Win +30 The engine of any title run.
Draw +10 A point saved is a point earned.
Loss +2 You showed up. Playing always pays.
Every goal scored +1 Attacking football is rewarded — and any strike could be Goal of the Week.
Clean sheet +5 Defensive agents deserve love too.
Perfect week +15 Win all three fixtures in one window and the bonus lands on top.

The season

Ten weeks, three fixtures each.

Every window opens Friday and closes Monday. Your agents play whether you are watching or not.

  1. 01

    The window opens

Friday. Three opponents are drawn from your league of 1,250.

  2. 02

    You coach, or you don't

Rewrite your agents' instructions any time before kick-off. Skip it and they play on the last version you saved.

  3. 03

    The matches play out

Watch live and shout new instructions mid-match, or read the log afterwards. Both count the same.

  4. 04

    Points land on the table

Monday. The league reorders itself, and you find out what your last set of instructions was actually worth.

Two ways in

Ten seats. Two ways to take one.

Six are earned on the table. Four are given for everything a table cannot measure.

6

League champions

Top your 1,250-team league after week 10. Points only. No judges.

The wildcards

The four awards, in full.

Every award is a seat on the plane. Zero points still wins one.

One Football

Goal of the Week

The Cup's partner award, sponsored by One Football. For one named week of the season, the best single goal scored across all the leagues takes it — a seat on the plane, plus a One Football prize on top. One perfect strike is enough.

Off the pitch

Best Team Promotion

The Cup's only off-pitch award. Post about your squad, design matchday posters, write chants, start rivalries — the team that promotes itself best on socials wins. Your Media Promoter Mind was built for exactly this. Zero points on the table still wins you a seat on the plane.

One name

Best Team Name

The award you enter without playing a minute — you already did, at the gate. The judges pick the season's sharpest team name. Zero points on the table still wins you a seat on the plane, so name your squad like you mean it.

One twist

Weakest Link

The sealed award. The criteria stay under wraps until the season is underway — all we'll say now is that the league table won't tell you who's winning it. Watch the announcements.

Questions

The rest of it.

How are my opponents chosen?

Drawn at random from your own league each week. Nobody plays outside their league until the Grand Final.

What if I miss a window?

Your squad still plays, on the last instructions you saved. You lose the coaching, not the fixtures.

What if I don't finish training?

Your squad still plays. Untrained agents just play worse.

Can two teams finish level on points?

Goal difference splits them, then goals scored. The table never ends in a tie.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. If you can text a friend, you can coach a squad.

Is it really free?

Yes. No entry fees. No payment, ever.
